After taking feedback from the market and our women’s focus groups on current collections, the Blizzard and Tecnica internal R & D teams of Product Managers and Designers sit together to make a detailed product analysis, review market trends research and do competitor comparisons from which they start the product development process for future collections.
They discover what the needs and wants of women in the sporting world are and take into consideration how they evolve through the years.
We hold multiple Focus Group meetings and Athlete Summits annually to work through product proposals and marketing messaging ideas.
These groups test ours and competitor’s products to provide feedback to the R & D teams as well as give feedback on graphics, ideas for marketing messages and future direction on how we can better serve the women’s market. The process allows women of all abilities and backgrounds to give feedback and validation to our direction.
Our teams process the feedback and input from the groups to further refine the product and solve for issues like performance, warmth, comfort and lightness. They make sure we are offering products that can work for a variety of women.
Through this thorough process Blizzard and Tecnica are able to find the right solutions to design and build the best products for women based on real input from women. We never stop. This is an ongoing process that repeats year after year. Our goal is to improve our products and provide endless inspiration and education for the female skier.
